Joel Brand

About

Joel Brand was a Hungarian Jewish rescue activist and a member of Budapest’s Relief and Rescue Committee.

In 1944 he negotiated with Eichmann’s staff and traveled to Turkey with the proposal later called “blood for goods,” an exchange of Jews for trucks and other goods.
